Transparency
Privacy
Transparency is a forecast for one place. It does not ask you to make an account, and it does not sell anything you type or tap.
Location
The round button beside search asks the phone for where you are. That only happens if you tap it and then allow it. The coordinates are sent so the place can be named and tonight can be read. They are not kept as a profile.
If you type a place instead, that name is sent to find the spot. You can refuse location and still use Transparency.
What stays on your phone
Saved places stay in this browser on this phone. Transparency has no account to delete. To clear them, remove a saved place, or use the browser setting that clears data for this site. The place you open is also written into the address of this page.
The forecast
The weather and air numbers come from Open-Meteo. A place you search, or a pin you drop, is sent there to fetch the night. A name for that pin, or for this phone, is asked from BigDataCloud. That is why a place leaves the phone.
